After many years of committment to the Green party I decided to make a change.
To have time for a new challenge seems to be a great opportunity.
With my political experiences I want to take steps to support development in Africa, in cooperation with African people.
I want to help bring people together to work for a juster, fairer world in which there is less poverty, natural resources are conserved and climate change is addressed.
Children and young people need education and career oportunities. Women and men can create new businesses and improve their lives with micro loans. Renewable energy sources can provide light, heat and cheap power without contributing to the greenhouse effect, and thus can end the dependency on oil and gas.
My practical focus will be on the following areas:
- - the support of children and young people in the slums of Mathare in Nairobi/Kenya. Follow this link to www.promoting-africa.de.
- - the construction of a house for young people to learn practical skills, like using renewable energies, organic farming and IT skills. Follow this link to www.promoting-africa.de.
- - cooperation with Opportunity International Deutschland (OID) to promote microcredits for entrepreneurs in Africa. These people are not passive recipients of donations, they are our partners. Follow this link to www.oid.org
